Analysis of Phicomm Passion 660 with Xiaomi Mi 4i

Phicomm Chinese hardware maker entered Indian market with their android smart phone passion 660, but although for me its not impressive not  a good buying option.The specification are normal in 10,000- 15,000 range. The price of Phicomm Passion 660 is Rs. 10,999 as compared to Xiaomi Mi 4i (Rs. 12,999) with same specification but passion 660 has a older version of android.I found Xiaomi its close rival so i compared the phone with Xiaomi Mi 4i .

Comparison

Looking on the design phone's look is good ,the slim form factor and the matte finish on the black panel makes the phone comfortable to use. Coming to specification phone is 7.3mm thick and weighs 110 gms sleeker than Xiaomi mi 4i (7.8mm thick and weighs 130 gms. ). But all in all if  you want a trendy and stylish phone Xiaomi Mi 4i is better option. 

Display. It impressed me very much . Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution display. The 5" screen  has bezels on the left and right side, which give the illusion of edge to edge display. It has good viewing angles and realistic colors makes it comfortable for users who juggle between movies and playing games. looking closely i observed that the white colors are not purely white but slightly creamy (ivory white). I can give 4.5 number out of 5 for the display, But honestly it impressed me.
Passion 660 handled most of the task i tested on it without any issues. Games Such as GT Racing  2 played without any visible. Video playback was very smooth for the HD videos. The default media player is more versatile with video formats than what most of the rivals tend to offer.The back panel doesn't heats up when the phone is stressed up with lots of task as compared to Xiaomi Mi 4i (heated up with simple tasks )
Coming to the performance both phones have qualcomm 64 Bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal Storage. With passion 660 you have option to expand the memory up to 64 GB while Mi 4i doesn't even have the memory card slot.
Camera (Not impressive) 13 mega pixel camera is good for daylight imaging with inbuilt barometer it shows photographs with details such as altitude from sea level and atmospheric pressure.
Camera doesn't have many modes as Mi 4i and offers a few color effect, burst mode and an anti shaking mode. Image processing software is also good and easy to operate.
It comes with 5 mega pixels front facing camera  seems to be good in daylight.
Battery  : As android devices has an average loss of 3% battery per hour. It comes with 2300 mAh non removable battery which gives a day backup. The Mi 4i has 3120 mAh battery but have the heating issues.
Conclusion :
Passion 660 will be a good option in 10,999 . Its closest rival Mi 4i cost Rs. 2000 more with much the same specifications. Passion 660 will be available from 9 June only on amazon.com. However you must check for the service center for the phicomm across India.
